APEX Geoservices have just returned from Malawi after completing a geophysical survey to provide information on the sub-soil conditions along a pipeline route and at treatment works sites.
|Project Title||Geophysical Investigation – Malawi River Shire Project|
|Client||Ministry of Agriculture, Irrigation and Water Development.|
|Objectives||The objective of the geophysical survey was to provide information on the sub-soil conditions along the pipeline route and at treatment works sites.|
|Our Role||APEX carried out electromagnetic profiling (EM), seismic refraction, electrical resistivity tomography (ERT) and multichannel analysis of surface waves (MASW) along a 50km pipeline route in order to characterise ground conditions. Surveying was also carried out at proposed treatment works sites. Targets were provided for confirmatory trial pitting and borehole work, and an integrated ground model produced.|
